There remains nothing else out there for 15mm Sci Fi gamers or more importantly, those who might be interested in the genera, And there are such brilliant figure lines out there right now - I would hate to see this bird go down and be left with a certain 25mm style of gaming that is in effect (at best) World War One in armour...Blastwallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17511372643821103566noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2225875593099728358.post-91888593288466556182012-07-29T00:03:18.967+01:002012-07-29T00:03:18.967+01:00Where in the world do you live Pete/Where in the world do you live Pete/Blastwallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17511372643821103566noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2225875593099728358.post-72410380660117372892012-07-28T01:07:03.073+01:002012-07-28T01:07:03.073+01:00Fiasco? I suppose...Fiasco? Must have missed that one . . .

I suppose that now is probably the time to confess that although I am a long time wargamer (in 1/300th, 20mm, 25mm and starships of I have no idea what scale) I don't actually have any 15mm sci-fi stuff . . .
In my defence, I do want some.
And someone to game with now that I'm at the other end of the country to my old gaming mates.
I do still play a bit of Traveller if that helps . . .Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2225875593099728358.post-44372596966605499172012-07-27T21:18:25.126+01:002012-07-27T21:18:25.126+01:00Believe me, folks - I hear what you're saying....Believe me, folks - I hear what you're saying.

The fiasco surrounding my Antenociti's Workshop review left an extremely bitter taste in my mouth. Not only did I stop blogging, but I didn't touch a paintbrush or set of dice for a good long while. And in the meantime, Dropship Horizon has dropped from seven active crew members to three - and Eli and David both have enough going in their real lives that it left quite a void here.

But now, I'm ready to dive back in. I just finished a major terrain project, and I've had a few more requests for a Unit Cards tutorial. That, along with an untouched order from Ravenstar Studios and an order I placed with Khurasan last night, will get me back into force development and hobby-type articles.

In the meantime, we'd love to receive a few guest articles while we get the ship flying again. A dropship is nothing without passengers!Chris K.https://www.blogger.com/profile/03776262540828047947noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2225875593099728358.post-3079118187159037942012-07-26T23:12:10.230+01:002012-07-26T23:12:10.230+01:00Am all for that if it keeps the spirit of this thi...Am all for that if it keeps the spirit of this thing alive. But I guess the problem currently faced is the number of people trying to keep this going against their individual actual balancing acts. This used to be run by one mind with input from others. With no over arching control I can see how difficult it could be to keep up the energy that used to be here. I am not criticising anyone here. The idea of relaunching the site post Mark was an honest desire to keep a truly unique place for 15,, sic fi types informed and inspired. I think Pete has a point. Perhaps we should start to interact a bit more - offer in stuff that might not be posted but at least we should give it a go. For goodness sake, I am commenting on a post 2 weeks and more old! So, OK, Pete has set us a challenge, lets keep the bird aloft!Blastwallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17511372643821103566noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2225875593099728358.post-77548874665210384622012-07-25T21:02:20.538+01:002012-07-25T21:02:20.538+01:00Well, perhaps, ladies and gentlemen, we should off...Well, perhaps, ladies and gentlemen, we should offer some of our own thoughts for posting here? We all play, I assume? We all have our own ideas on unit compositions, alien reactions, 'realistic' vs 'heroic' games?

A few guest posts to get the readers talking might be a good idea assuming the DH pilots are amenable, of course!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2225875593099728358.post-16572563675479668532012-07-25T08:42:58.144+01:002012-07-25T08:42:58.144+01:00Definitely think the site has lost its way a littl...Definitely think the site has lost its way a little, there used to be some really classic articles coming out that were useful and were applicable to what you were doing, some of my favorites being the evaluation of weapons and how they might be implemented in the future, squad organization ect. I know it's a hard act to follow but the passion and love of the genera is sadly lacking. You post you news from TMP, often weeks after individual manufactures have already posed. It seems to have become a place of figure reviews only - that was was never what this blog was about. Is it time to land the bird? Am I being to harsh - what does everyone else think? Is there anyone else out there now?Blastwallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17511372643821103566noreply@blogger.com
