Prang and Skorath

New SHM Miniatures from 15mm.co.uk

So, this time I get to report something a bit more personal. Many of you may know that I submit a lot of sculpting work to 15mm.co.uk for inclusion in their SHM range and I am happy to announce another batch has hit release.

First of all, are a full host of new Prang sculpts. From a single figure sculpted at the dawn of my sculpting, I've expanded this alien species to include troopers, leaders, techs and heavy weapons troopers.

Along with these froggy fellows, I also sculpted the Skorath. Armored alien for hire, the Skorath will make an excellent mercenary, bounty hunter, bodyguard, etc.. Perhaps team him up with the Razak, Gizbin, and a Trandan to form the ultimate hit squad or galactic bail enforcement team?

PMC 2640: Hell on Echidna Free Demo Rules and Expansion Released

Assault Publishing has released a free expansion and demo ruleset for their PMC 2640 Ruleset.  The Main ruleset is very well written and I'd recommend everyone downloads the demo and checks it out for themselves.



From the release:

Today, I am pleased to release PMC 2640: Hell on Echidna, a free demo version of the PMC 2640 wargame! However, it is not only a demo, but additionally a mini-expansion, which features several new, cool rules for those of you who have already purchased the book.

Hell on Echidna is not the typical bunch of a few random pages. It contains all the basic things you need to play: core rules (identical to those found in the rulebook), a shortened terrain list, a special, new terrain generator for post-apocalyptic planets, rules for composing an army with basic equipment, a wholly new scenario (not featured in the main rulebook), and a list of several units (including two new ones!) and all their special rules. Additionally, I have included a new Battle Honour, which may be given to your troops if you decide to play your campaign battles on Echidna or a similar devastated planet.

To summarize, Hell on Echidna gives you everything you need to get to know the game's mechanics, theme and design philosophy, and, of course spend a great time playing it! But remember that it's just a small part of what you can find in the full version!

Titanium Dropship - Third Places...

The judges ended up being two instead of three, but still managed to pick out the three very best out of each category! Not an easy feat, mind you, given the many wonderful entries! Many thanks to David "Dwartist" Woods and Steve Dean for accepting this daunting responsibility!

Without further delay: the third best entry in the Squad Leader category: SpacePrawn and his Omnisec Patrol!

I am awfully sorry: I mixed up two entries, the third place in the Vehicle Commander category is actually  Dave Pauwels, from Gasmask Journal and his Minotaur Class Super Heavy Grav Tank.

 And in the Combat Engineer category: Asgon and its Gothic Ruins!
