In the last of the preview/new releases from GZG for now, we have more Pan-African Union and Colonial Defense Force as well as new sculpts for the Japanese Coporate troops. For hard sci-fi fans this has been am assive windfall of new potential troops and additions to their forces.I know we may have to wait a bit for releases out of GZG, but when they come out it's usually a big deal and this seems to have been no exception.

economy and almost all of its off-world colonies. The range contains a mix of male and female troopers, and
includes helmeted figures plus some bareheaded poses with traditional
headbands.

hmmmm...I was excited about these new releases, especially for the Japanese because I was hoping they resembled the art work from Tomorrow's War. However, I'm not sure I'm sold, I like the rifleman okay, and the LMG is alright, a bit on the hefty side, although I think in TW the Japanese use synthetic soldiers, so easy work around there, but the rocket launcher doesn't quite look right? I'll still buy some packs I'm sure. Definitely on board with the Pan African troops and the CDF troops! I do wish he'd just release a command pack for these initial releases...it's a bit on the frustrating side....won't stop me from purchasing though, and THANKS for getting these pics out, I was hoping to see them before next week!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see some more leader or character bareheaded Ashigaru. I'd combine them with the rifle group to create a Japanese Mercenary group for skirmish games.
ReplyDeleteI really like the ashigaru SAWs, those guys would be pretty great for not-Warzone in 15mm
ReplyDeletesecond that. love the tribarrels and the minis themselves caught my eye like a sort of an image from the days long past :) never much into that particular megacorp, but i'd delighted to have those guys on my shelf. hope to see more
DeleteGrand to see the Ashigaru line expanding - let's have some seated figs, soon.
ReplyDeleteJon - seated figures - at the risk of repeating meself. : )
