GZG's new releases including the Rommel III MBT should be up on the webstore now.
There's something about the Rommel that grabs me. I see it more as an automated tank rather than a manned one and can envision a fleet of them on my desert tabletop. It looks ruthless, efficient and most definitely Harkonnen.

Reminds me of the Siege Tanks from the old computer game Dune II...
ReplyDeleteIt does have something about it.
ReplyDeleteI only wish some 15mm manufacturer would come out with some not-Kafer vehicles: Bugbus, Deathsled, etc.
We seem to have a surplus of stuff from GZG, Brigade, etc that you can use for the human factions, but nothing for the aliens.
Think it's mostly great but let down by the hovercraft drive a bit. This is one Rommel that would not survive his first encounter with a patch of scrub.

Just for those that don't already know, this is the not-Traveller 2300 German Hovertank. It has always been (as a 25mm scale resin figure) one of my favorite GZG figs - if a bit undersized.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking of using a Peter Pig LVTP-5 as a Bugbus, but I'd love to see a line of the not-Kafer vehicles.
ReplyDeleteHey Mark! I think the LVT-5 Bugbus idea is very cool!
