300 Club Ventaurans

.
Nic over at Eureka has informed me that we need THREE more people to sign up to the 300 Club Ventaurans for them to go into production.
These will be 15mm versions of Chub Pearson's classic 25mm Ventaurans.

25mm Denizen Miniatures 25mm Ventaurans

These have potential to make great proxy 15mm Zhodani! So Eureka, 300 Cllub, Go!

Cheers

  1. Just ordered 24 of these minis to serve as Corporate Security for my upcoming Traveller setting.

  2. Wow... just earlier today I saw these on Denizen from a TMP link and thought they should be made in 15mm. :) I'm in for 25 of these. Don't think I'd need a massive army of these, but they would make a fun extra skirmish force.

Is there any discussion as to how many poses would be sculpted for these 300-club lines?

  3. Nic at Eureka told me previously that the original request was for the same poses as the 25's however, once the mahic number of pledges is reached he emails everyone and we can horse trade for the poses we want.

That may have changed now, but I hope not. I personally would be looking for more active military based - such as along the lines of the 2nd phase of Sci Fi German Stormtroopers.

  4. At last! I think I signed up for 60 of these about two years ago, but I forget. Guess I'll hold off repainting my New Israelis as faux Zhos for a little longer, then ;)

  5. I put in for 25. I'd have to go with a more realistic posing than the poses in the original minis.

  6. I started the ball rolling on this a couple of years ago. I have to say that Chub was very very nice about the whole thing. The only thing he wants in return is a copy of any figures Nic makes. I hope Nic remembers this.

I didn't push really hard on this after I learned the 300 Club is a 600 Club and I couldn't get a guarantee of 1 of every pose due to the economics of miniature production. Initial interest was also relatively low. I'm really glad that others have taken up the call and given this the publicity it deserves.

  7. I put in for a platoon a while back. It would be nice to see them sculpted and cast.
