My WIP interpretation of 'Dutch', A relatively simple headswop with a GZG Separate Head (SG15-SH1) grafted onto a Peter Pig AK47 range Modern US Marine.
It's almost midnight so I'm calling it quits. I'm pleased with how he's turning out - tomorrow, I'll finish the eyes, do the face camo, boots and base details.
Cheers

Cool!
ReplyDeleteHe sure looks familiar... :D
ReplyDeleteNice one Mark! He looks fantastic. The camo is particularly good.
ReplyDeleteAny chance of a tutorial on headswops?
It's uncanny how similar to Dutch this 15mm figure can actually look. Well done...
ReplyDeleteThat is Awesome!
ReplyDeleteThanks Guys!
ReplyDeleteHeadswop tutorial - not a problem. I'll run one over the weekend.
Cheers

"Headswop tutorial - not a problem."
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm looking forward to this. I've got a bunch of PP NVA that need to not have the sun helmets anymore...
Is there a significant enough difference between the PP heads and GZG heads to note for the tutorial? PP has a LOT of loose heads...
Now that's a man with a big head...
ReplyDeleteHi Noah
ReplyDeleteYes - big difference in size between Peter Pig and GZG heads, but I aim to go into that - side by side images too!
Astranagant - yes and no. I am the first to notice if a head on a miniature is too large - melon-like, or squeezed into a tiny helmet - I've given Jon a lot of grief in the past about this - and still do as he will confirm!
However, in this instance it really doesn't look out of place IMHO once finished (see subsequent post).
Cheers
Mark
