Convert a Wargamer to 15mm Sci Fi Week! - The Results!

A few weeks ago the Dropship Team decided that, as a bit of fun, the week beginning Monday 11th July would be Convert a Wargamer to 15mm Sci Fi Week!

We challenged ourselves, and you Dropship Horizon readers, to attempt to convert a wargaming buddy to 15mm sci fi sometime during the week.

You may have organised a game, shown off your collection, started a discussion about the merits of painting and collecting 15mm sci fi, but whatever you did we'd like you to let us know how you got on! The Dropship Crew will also share some of their own experiences.

  1. Well I Just got converted to the 15mm universe and as such the only thing I did was starting painting and converting my 15mm miniatures and I just opened a blog for those projects... In these few weeks with the blog online I managed to get some old 28mm buddies curious about 15mm.

Its not much but was what I managed to do.

  3. Y'all are welcome, I started converting people over a decade ago, advocating, prevaricating and generally being a fan on places like the TMP and GZG's list about the strengths of 15mm. As such I count pretty much all of y'all who have come to see the light as people I have converted.

  4. I haven't quite converted, but I did order some 15mm stuff from GZG to use with my 25mm collection

  5. I've actually been able to convert an acquaintance of mine and we tried out Gruntz! It was very much a test game but he's eager for more, so mission accomplished I suppose. :)

  7. I'd not quite established anything solid, but I had established a foothold with a good friend of mine. He was very fond of the cost and ease of painting if nothing else.
